What does a school receive?
To run the Urban Growing Club in schools with minimal effort, we provide all the necessary equipment and resources to ensure a successful and engaging experience for both teachers and students. Our TowerFarms are easy to set up and maintain, and we provide remote maintenance to make it even more effortless.
Our video lessons are designed to be accessible to both adults and students, making it easy for teachers to incorporate the club into their curriculum and for students to take ownership of the process.
With over 7000 schools in the USA already using our TowerFarms, we have seen many positive stories of success and wonderment in classrooms. We are excited to bring this experience to more schools and empower students to be the main drivers behind the club and produce amazing plants.
How does the system work?
The school receives three aeroponic towers that work by recirculating nutrient-dense water over the plant's roots every hour.
Essentially giving the plants the perfect dinner, every moment of the day.
3 highly efficient LED lights run down the tower and over the plants, providing them with easily enough light for all types of growing.
5% water usage compared to normal growing. 3 times faster growth rate, 30 % bigger plants and as nutrient dense as any soil growing.
Did you know that the average lettuce has travelled 1200 miles, is 5 days old and lost 30% of it's nutrients. With classroom growing it's food feet not miles, roots on fresh plants that grow super fast.
Add some excitement to Membership of the Urban Growing Club by visiting a commercial Tower Farm
Our video demonstrates that kids absolutely love this experience. Your students will get hands-on lessons on planting, maintaining and harvesting produce, used in a commercial farm. It gives them an understand of the business aspects of urban growing.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a framework for schools in the UK to promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility. By growing fresh produce with a Tower Garden in schools, students can learn about sustainable agriculture practices, reduce food waste, and contribute to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
